Proofreading or editing

Proofreading is the final check on a document before it is published. It is the last opportunity for mistakes to be found and corrected. By contrast, editing begins at an earlier stage in the publishing process and is likely to involve much more serious changes to the text.

However, the distinction between the two processes can become blurred, especially in companies whose main business isn't book or journal publishing; therefore, before undertaking any project, I will work with you to ensure that the job I do for you is exactly what you are looking for – whether it's proofreading, editing – or something in between!
